Jeremy Norwood, Associate Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology, Global Studies, and Criminal Justice at Spring Arbor University. Dr. Norwood is extremely involved in the movement to address human trafficking in the Jackson area, as well as all over the State of Michigan. In addition to completing his doctoral dissertation on human trafficking indicators amongst migrant farmworker populations in Western Michigan, he has helped to train thousands of professionals from several fields (counselors, social workers, dental hygienists, public health officials, emergency room personnel, probation officers, among other groups) across the State per the requirements listed by the State of Michigan. Dr. Norwood has also helped edit an upcoming book on the history and effectiveness of one of the country’s strongest human trafficking coalitions in Central Florida, presented at numerous conferences and talks on the issue of human trafficking, and has collaborated with Spring Arbor University students to organize the Spring Arbor University Annual Conference on Human Trafficking
