The Michigan Small Business Technology and Development Center offers a variety of loan programs available to small business owners.

Industrial Facility Tax Abatement (IFT)
Local units of government may offer 50 percent property tax abatement for a set number of years on equipment, new construction and rehabilitation related to manufacturing. For more information, contact the Economic Development Partnership of Hillsdale County at (517) 437-3200.

MEGA Tax Incentive
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation offers a MEGA Tax Incentive which is applied to the company's Michigan Business Tax. To be elgible, the business must creat or retain a certain number of jobs that pay at least 150% of the federal minimum wage.

The City of Hillsdale offers Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA), Neighborhood Enterprise Zone, and a Downtown Facade Improvement grant program. For more information, contact Christine Bowman, Economic Development Director at 517-437-6479.
